On completion in 2019, the new clubhouse and restaurant facilities dramatically transformed the visitor experience for customers of Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities. It’s hard to remember what Whilton Mill was like without the new clubhouse but once upon a time, hospitality consisted of portacabins, mobile toilets and burger vans.

The new restaurant, toilets, changing rooms, meeting rooms and medical centre were possible thanks to part funding from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. And this investment has helped to us to not only improve the hospitality available at Whilton Mill but to also create jobs and to grow the business.

The restaurant, known as the Break Pad, is now at the heart of what we do. It’s an experience by itself as customers visit to enjoy the food alone. But it’s become much more and is now at the centre of new events such as car meets hosted by CarNatter and bike meets by Cave Cultura.
