JOB DESCRIPTION:

As Race Director you will have overall responsibility for the successful and safe running of events. It’s vital that customers have an excellent experience from the moment they arrive. That means effectively managing your team to help you deliver a first-class and professional event, every time. On the day, you are the brand ambassador for Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities are expected to set high standards.

ATTRIBUTES

You must be presentable, reliable, polite and a good communicator, comfortable speaking in front of large groups. Teamwork and respect for your colleagues is important as is the willingness to go above and beyond your duties. You set high standards for yourself and others and manage events with military precision and professionalism.

DUTIES

  • Briefing your team on the day
  • Effective management of all track marshals and event staff
  • Compliance with safety procedures
  • Pre-event track inspection
  • Running through pre & post event check lists
  • Oversight of kart preparation, logistics and fuelling
  • Ensuring the site, team and karts are presentable
  • Setting up and running the timing computer
  • Oversight of customer arrival and registration
  • Handling any customer on the day payment in compliance with financial procedures
  • Providing a safety and event briefing to customers
  • Ensuring customers are fit and equipped to race
  • Oversight of track safety during the events
  • Oversight of event breakdown
  • Completing event paperwork
  • Securing the site post event

SKILLS

Essential; minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role

Desirable; first aid training

Track Marshall - up to £8.91 per hour

JOB TITLE: Track Marshall

START DATE: ASAP

SALARY: Up to £8.91 p/h

HOURS: Part & full time, must be willing to work weekends & evenings, as well as weekdays

LOCATION: NN11 2NH

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Your main duty as Track Marshall is to safeguard customers whilst taking part in activities. This will include setting up and breaking down of events.

  • Monitoring track activity for hazards and danger
  • Flag waving to alert participants to on-track incidents
  • Dealing with on-track incidents
  • Recovering broken down and stranded vehicles
  • Moving, fuelling and cleaning karts
  • Issuing safety equipment to participants
  • Helping to keep our venue presentable

SKILLS: Desirable; track marshalling & first aid, however, full training will be provided.
