What’s on during half term

If you are planning a day out with the kids, check out our junior experiences for ideas of things to do this half term. But of course, it’s not all about the children and as we’ll be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, there’s lots for adults to enjoy such as quad bikes and clay shooting. Just off the M1, near Daventry, our venue is easily accessible from Banbury, Bedford, Bicester, Brackley, Buckingham, Coventry, Kettering, Leicester, Milton Keynes, Northampton, and Rugby.
Put yourself in pole position by booking onto our Gladiator race. This will take place on Bank Holiday Thursday – 9am arrival. As a new race format, this is the best value for money racing. Start with a 5-minute practice and then get your adrenaline fuelled fun with a 60-minute non-stop race.
60-MINUTE ARRIVE & DRIVE KARTING
This is your LAST CHANCE to book onto our 60-minute Arrive & Drive to avoid missing out on a half term go-karting session at Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities. This will take place on our 960m National Circuit, available to adults and children aged 14 up.
Here is a fantastic activity for younger kids who are looking to get their karting fix. Our 30-minute Arrive & Drive sessions start at 8 years old on our Mill Circuit where you can race around in our Sodi Karts SR4 270cc. Once booked, all you need to do is arrive and then drive. It’s as simple as that.
For fitness, practice or just for the thrill, children from aged 12 up can enjoy a 30-minute Arrive & Drive session on our Mill Circuit. Your event starts with an informative safety briefing and helmets, race suits, gloves and balaclava’s will be provided.
For the youngsters, our Crazi-Bugz junior off-road experience is an excellent choice for children aged 6 up. Crazi-Bugz are an all-electric six-wheeled buggy that junior drivers get to enjoy around our powered adventure play course that is full of obstacles. We currently have a special offer with limited availability.
Now one for the big kids. We recently took delivery of a new fleet of Quadzilla QZ300’s. These are 300cc 4WD go anywhere ATV’s. Our instructors will take you on a journey around Whilton Mill’s grounds that fully test the ability of both bike and rider. Quad bikes are a great activity to enjoy with friends or family, aged 16 up.
A sport requiring excellent hand-eye coordination, there’s something very satisfying about breaking your first clay target. When taking part in a Clay Shooting Experience, our instructors will guide you through the basics, including safety. They’ll give you tips that will quickly have you hitting targets.
Make it a day to remember by starting or finishing your visit with a meal in our Break Pad Restaurant. Whilton Mill stands out from other karting venues, as our hospitality is second to none and provides just the view for all the track action! We have a range of fantastic meals on our menu, from outstanding burgers to a delicious Katsu Curry. We even have a special menu just for the kids.
