Try something different this Halloween; Kart & Treat for drivers aged 6+

10 Sep 2020

The celebration of Halloween with family and friends grows in popularity yearly. Trick or treating has always been a firm favourite with children, and of course, Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without a fancy dress party. But now, themed experiences are spreading faster than a zombie plague. There are spooktacular’s, scarefest’s, fright night’s, pick your own pumpkin farms, haunted castles and more. But if like us, you’d rather go karting, then read on…

The thought of trick or treating fills me with fear.

For the first time, Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities, near Daventry in Northamptonshire, will host is its very own Halloween themed family fun day out; Kart & Treat. Dawn Turland, Sales Executive – Whilton Mill Ltd, said “I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren over Halloween but the thought of wandering from door to door collecting a bucket of sweets fills me with fear. This gave me the idea of organising a family friendly Halloween karting activity this year. We’ll theme our 450m outdoor circuit with ghosts and ghouls, the marshals will wear Halloween costumes, and once the karting has finished, you can enjoy a meal in our restaurant. There will also be pumpkin carving and colouring available to keep kids entertained”.

Two x 10-minute track sessions plus goody bag for £30 per driver.

Kart & Treat is open to drivers aged 6 and above. The event will run in sessions according to age group; Little Spooks 6-7, Ghouls 8-11 and Ghostbusters 12+. Adults are welcome to go out in the Ghostbuster session. For £30, each driver will have two x 10-minute track sessions on the 450m circuit in 160cc Biz karts (Little Spooks & Ghouls) or 270cc Sodi-karts (Ghostbusters). Lap-time print outs are provided to all drivers and children go home with a goody bag. The Break Pad, Whilton Mill’s 80-seater restaurant, will be serving Halloween themed specials. Pumpkin carving will be available on the day at £3.50 per child. The fun starts from 15:00 on Saturday, 31st October.
