The ultimate test of endurance, speed and skill...

In support of Children in Need, Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities has launched a new team endurance open race, The 300. This Spartan-like test of endurance, speed and skill, sees teams of 3 drivers compete in a 300-lap race on the 960m National Circuit in 390cc Sodi-karts, which are capable of 50+ mph.

Five hour race on Friday, 13th November at 18:00…

In dry conditions, The 300 will take approximately 5 hours to complete, a little longer if it’s wet on the night. The first team to complete 300-laps will claim the spoils and be crowned victors of The 300.

The 300 will take place on the same day as Children in Need, which is Friday, 13th November. Arrival is from 18:00 with practice at 19:00, race start at 19:45, and expected race finish at approximately 00:30. At the end of the race we’ll provide a survivor’s breakfast for the weary warriors to refuel before heading home.

Help raise over £1500 for Children in Need…

How will the event help Children in Need? Thirty percent of team entry fees will be donated to Children in Need, from that alone we expect to raise over £1,500. Tickets to a prize draw will be sold on the night, and in the build-up to the event, all proceeds will be donated to Children in Need. There are some great prizes available such as a group karting event for 20 people, clay shooting voucher for two, hotel stays and racewear to name a few.

We’re a covid-secure venue, that means spectators are welcome, but numbers will be limited, and tickets must be booked in advance. The fee for spectators is £5 and all money raised from the sale of spectator tickets will go to Children in Need.

On the night, The Break Pad, our 80-seater restaurant will beopen for take-away food and seated meals, rule of six applies.

Two classes based on team weight…

To level the playing field, there are two classes based on total team weight in race kit (including helmet); under 255kg and 255kg or over. Teams will be weighed at the start of the race, and drivers after each session. Further regulations will be available after booking.

£265 for a team of 3 drivers…

The cost per team is £265, that includes race entry for a team of 3 drivers, use of helmets, suits and karts, survivors breakfast and a donation of £80 to Children in Need. Booking is required in advance, simply click the link below and follow on-screen instructions.

If you’re a business wishing to enter a team, once you have, send us a photo of your team and we’ll post it on our Facebook page.
