Outdoor sports and leisure set to open from 29 March

On 22 February, Boris Johnson announced his roadmap for the gradual release of lockdown measures. It stated that outdoor sport and leisure facilities could reopen from 29 March and outdoor attractions from 12April. This is welcome news for the team at Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities, and its customers.

Outdoor sport and leisure facilities to open from 29 March….

Broadly speaking, this means our Northamptonshire venue returns to owner driver practice and racing from 29 March and rental go-karting events, quad biking and clay shooting experiences from 12 April. Our contemporary 80-seater restaurant will serve take-away food from 29 March: sit down meals from 17 May (rule of six applies).

But we are still working up detailed plans for reopening our 100-acre site and setting up events. Whilst we do so, we’d appreciate your patience in waiting for news on when events, experiences, practice and races will be available to book. Rather than calling, please email us or wait for updates on our website and social media.

If you had an event book with us that’s been impacted, we’ll be in touch soon to confirm a new date, credit or if required, a refund.

Available from 29 March:

  • Owner driver practice
  • Owner driver racing
  • Take-away food

Available from 12 April:

  • Rental go-karting
  • Quad biking experience
  • Clay shooting experience

When outdoor sport and leisure facilities reopen, customers returning to Whilton Mill Karting & Outdoor Activities can feel reassured by our Covid-Promise to keep staff and customers safe and a no quibble guarantee to reschedule or refund events impacted by government imposed restrictions that affect their event.

We look forward to seeing you very soon.
